March 29 ATA Shoot Results

The Menard County Sportsman's Club hosted its first ATA registered trap shooting event of the 2015 calendar year on Sunday, March 29. The program for this shoot included Doubles, Singles, and Handicap. As is often the case with spring in the midwest, Mother Nature was not cooperative. The forcast called for cold temperatures, warm temperatures, clouds, rain, sun, and wind. We saw all of those conditions in a matter of just a few hours. Doubles shooters encountered 33 degrees and 25 mph wind gusts. Singles shooters got drenched by cold rain and 15 mph wind gusts. Handicap shooters were graced with sunshine, but battled 35 mph wind gusts. Just your typical March shoot in Central Illinois. Despite the challenging weather conditions, our hearty bunch of shooters took to the field of competition. Here is a complete wrap-up of the day's events.
