The Menard County Sportsman's Club hosted a Memorial Day Weekend trapshooting event on Saturday and Sunday, May 28 and 29. This event included $1000 in added prize money thanks to our great sponsors, Nikles of Petersburg and Athens State Bank. The weather was sunny, very warm, and breezy on both Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures rose as high as the upper '80's. Saturday saw a 10-15 mph South wind, while Sunday saw an equally stiff West wind. The breezy conditions made for some challenging targets, but it didn't stop our competitors from posting very strong scores. Here's a complete wrap-up of the weekend's events.
